Code of conduct

Last updated: November 2, 2026

So that everyone enjoys playing Pop Code. You accept these rules when you choose your nickname, and you can read them again in the game, in "À propos" (About).

  1. Choose a decent nickname: nothing insulting, hateful or sexual, and not someone else's name.
  2. Play fair: no cheating, and only one account in ranked games.
  3. Leave others alone: no repeated invitations or friend requests to someone who doesn't want them.
  4. If a player breaks these rules, report them. Their nickname can be reset, and their account closed.

Reporting a player

Tap their nickname or avatar: at the end of an online game, in "La partie" (The game) when you look back at a game, on the leaderboard, in the friend search or on a friend's card. Then tap "Signaler" (Report), choose a reason ("Pseudo choquant" (Offensive nickname), "Triche" (Cheating) or "Autre chose" (Something else)), add a few words if you like, and send. The reported player is not told. The developer receives every report and decides what happens next.

Blocking a player

On the same card, "Bloquer" (Block) cuts contact between the two of you: that player can no longer invite you or send you friend requests, and you no longer get matched against each other, in quick games or ranked ones. If they were your friend, they no longer are. They are not told. You can unblock them in "Gérer le compte" (Manage account), on the "Joueurs bloqués" (Blocked players) line.

What can happen

Offensive nicknames, and names that imitate the game's team ("Pop Code", "Admin", "Modérateur" (Moderator), "Support"…), are refused as soon as someone picks them. A nickname that breaks the first rule can be reset: the player gets a "Joueur" nickname followed by 4 digits, and picks a new one. A player who cheats, harasses others or keeps breaking the rules can have their account closed: they can no longer sign in to it, and they disappear from the leaderboard.
